Piry, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve 1939-1945 Star; Africa Star with North Africa 1942-43 bar, Italy Star; Defence and War Medals, extremely fine, together with registered box of issue addressed to Madame Piry, with named condolence slip, and Maltese Cross lapel badge, with ´Malta 1943 40 Sqdn.´ engraved on arms (6) Estimate £ 200-250Flying Officer John Korostovetz Piry, served in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, killed 8.7.1943. Commemorated on the Alamein Memorial, Egypt. At the time of his death, 40 Squadron were flying Wellingtons from Hani West, Tunisia.
