"Thalia".), initial ´G´ officially corrected, light pitting, otherwise good very fine Estimate £ 140-180Commander Hubert Gould William Thorold, Royal Navy, born 8.5.1854, Naval Cadet 2.5.1867, Sub-Lieutenant 8.5.1873; Lieutenant 24.5.1877, served in H.M.S. Thalia during the Egypt campaign 1882, and employed in the transport service. Retired unfit 6.11.1890, promoted Commander on attaining 40 years of age, 8.5.1894. Lieutenant, Berkshire Yeomanry Cavalry. Died 14.4.1906, aged 51.
