Collar and Badge Bestowed upon General His Highness Al-Haj Sir Sadiq Muhammad Khan, Abassi, Bahadur, Nawab of Bahawalpur The Most Exalted Order of the Star of India, Knight Grand Commander´s (G.C.S.I.), Collar, 1570 mm, silver-gilt and enamel; Badge, 95mm x 58mm, silver, silver-gilt and enamel, with a fine quality central onyx cameo, of a youthful Queen Victoria, extremely fine, the Badge in its original case of issue, and the Collar in a fine quality later fitted case; together with Coronation 1953; Pakistan Independence (Lt. Gen. Al-Haj Sir Sadiq Mohamed Khan Abbasi Bahadurv. General His Highness Rukn-ud-Daula Nusrat-i-Jang Saif-ud-Daula Hafiz-ul-Mulk Mukhlis-ud-Daula wa Muin-ud-Daula Nawab al Haj Sir Sadiq Muhammad Khan, Abbasi, Bahadur, Nawab of Bahawalpur, G.C.S.I., G.C.I.E., K.C.V.O., born at Derawar 29.9.1904, succeeded 15.2.1907; reigned under a Council of Regency until he came of age and was invested with limited administrative powers 1.10.1922; President, Council of Regency 1.4.1923; invested with full ruling powers at Bahawalpur by His Excellency the Marquess of Reading, Viceroy of India, 8.3.1924. Acceded to the Dominion of Pakistan 7.10.1947; Merged his State into the Province of West Pakistan 14.10.1955. Attended the Delhi Durbar 1911, commanded his state troops aged seven; attended the Coronation of George VI 1937, Elizabeth II 1953. Served in the Great War, Third Afghan War 1919; ADC to the Prince of Wales 1921-22; served in the Second World War. Died London 24.5.1966.
