Hong Kong Treaty Ports Shanghai A small group of covers with 1901 (17 June) picture post card of Shanghai addressed to Harpenden, bearing 1900-01 2c. green (2) tied by type Hi c.d.s. but with variety "C" for "G"; 1905-10, three picture postcards addressed to England, each underpaid, bearing K.E.VII 2c. franking cancelled by type J or L c.d.s. with small "T" in circle and different London tax handstamps; 1908 (15 Aug.) large printed envelope (310x145mm) addressed to London Viâ Siberia bearing a block of twenty K.E.VII 4c. carmine cancelled by type J c.d.s.; the reverse with London arrival. Some creasing and soiling, a colourful franking; 1922 (15 Mar.) envelope (roughly opened) sent from Russia to Shanghai bearing, on the reverse, a good strike of boxed "b.p.o. to c.p.o./shanghai..." datestamp (Proud type I14), the latest recorded date.
