Line-Engraved Issues A fascinating collection of literature relating to the Rowland Hill and James Chalmers controversy, comprising a series of ninety-five submissions, extracts, tear sheets, etc. and a beautiful boxed set of 36 pamphlets, mostly written by Patrick Chalmers, others written by Pearson Hill in response (one with manuscript "With Mr. Pearson Hills Compts." and which illustrate the depth of animosity between the two sons, also ten books relating to the Rowland Hill (mostly written by his relatives - "The Life of Rowland Hill" in two volumes by Geo. Birkbeck Hill, "Rowland Hill and The Fight for Penny Post" by Col. H.W. Hill, Rowland Hill´s "My Post Office Journal" being the excerpts printed in "The Philatelist" bound together in one volume, etc.) or James Chalmers. A very rare assembly.
