Great Britain 1d. letter sheet, A234, addressed to ´Charles Goodwyn Esq., Crown Office, 1 Chandos St., London´, cancelled by superb strike of the distinctive Wotton-under Edge Maltese Cross in black, the reverse with corresponding double-arc despatch datestamp of 25 March 1841 and red London arrival c.d.s., both also superb; light creasing and small portion of upper flap missing though in no way detracting from the stunning appearance of this most important item which is, without doubt, one of the finest examples known.
