Great Britain 1876 (29 Nov.) envelope to Edinburgh bearing 1864-79 1d. tied by very fine blue ´B.55´ numeral of Beal (the reverse with corresponding despatch c.d.s. in the same colour), the address panel with superb strike of the extremely rare octagonal ´coin/registered/edinburgh´ d.s. in red, ink manuscript ´8´ alongside – the registered post due rating was compulsorily applied to any letter which was discovered containing coinage; light fold clear of adhesive and strikes in no way detracting.
