Crime and Punishment Punishment Transportation 1857 small handwritten note penned by a convicted forger named Leopold Redpath on board the transport ship ´Edwin Fox´ en route to Perth – the content being a request to the ship´s Surgeon Superintendent for ´another packet of newspapers´, also a letter insert dated 1866 written by Redpath at Fremantle (the letter, asks for support from a London playwright to help ´young free settlers wishing to get up some theatricals´; 1862 printed form issued by a magistrate at Swan River which confirms the ´Conditional Pardon´ of a man convicted of theft and transported in 1848; neatly written-up with interesting detail and illustration Estimate £ 150-180
