Crime and Punishment Crimes Debt 1822 (3 Dec.) entire letter from Mark Stubbs, a debtor held at King´s Bench Prison, addressed to York, the address panel with very fine strike of the rare framed belvide. ple./s´ (Belvedere Place) Receiving House h.s., the reverse with London despatch circular d.s., the letter content thanks the addressee for ´a five pound bill´ received by his wife and the various remittances passed to him which had greatly alleviated his discomfiture – it seems he was so overcome that he forgot which month it was and headed his letter ´Kings Bench January 3th 1822´; light folds not detracting.
