21/2d. purple on blue, on envelope to Canada, tied by fine London double-ring c.d.s. for 18 January 1896 and good, if slightly incomplete, strike of the large black framed "posted too late"; envelope with small tear at top clear of adhesive and strike. Also a forgery of the stamp in similar design and colour scheme but denominated "4d"
