— 1871 (11 Oct.) long pale blue envelope registered to Whitby, bearing 1864-79 1d. plate 138 single and two pairs (originally forming a block of four), and 1870 1/2d. plate 5, tied by very fine strikes of the very rare circular ´683/E´ trial cancellation of Salisbury, the address panel showing very fine Salisbury c.d.s. and red oval London Registered d.s., purple ink manuscript ´Registered´ adjacent; fine and of stunning appearance.
