1841 1d. plate 28, DI (misplaced check letters), on entire to Doncaster dated 23 June 1843, tied by very fine strike of the Norwich Maltese Cross, also 1d. plate 27, PG, on entire letter written on the island of Arran to Hamilton (then re-addressed to London) dated 7 August 1843, tied by light strike of the black Maltese Cross (probably applied at Ardrossan), fine red h.s. ´1´ and Hamilton d.s. at left, margins all round; minor cover faults in no way detracting. A most attractive pair. Estimate £ 150-180
