1855 (20 July) LC 16 2d. plate 5, ID-IF and JD-JF strips of three (originally forming a block of six) – well centred, on neat clean entire letter to Melbourne (Australia) dated 23 February 1857, tied by very fine strikes of the Manchester ´498´ duplex or numeral, the reverse with very fine red Victoria Free Ship Letter d.s. of 14 May. An extremely rare multiple of S.G. 27 used on an overseas cover, destined for Australia, and a wonderful exhibition showpiece. Photo Estimate £ 2,000-2,500
