Harold I (1035-40), jewel cross type, Penny, 1.03g., Canterbury, Eadred, diademed bust left, HAROLD RE, rev. jewel cross, [ED]RED ON CENTP (N.802; S.1163), slightly weakly struck below bust, very fine Estimate £ 250-300The first two letters of the moneyer´s name are not entirely clear, they appear to be ED though Eadred is not recorded as a Canterbury moneyer. The only alternative is PINRED, c.f. SCBI 40, 156.
