STRAITS SETTLEMENTS India used in Straits Settlements 1855-65 Typographed Issues Singapore 1858 (14 July) entire, with disinfection slits, ex the "Matia" correspondence to Cadiz care of Mr. Power at Gibraltar, marked "p overland mail", bearing 1a. brown, 2a. orange pair (affixed over edge at lower left) and single, and 8a. carmine on blue glazed (corner defect), all clearly cancelled "B/172", showing red crayon "1/10", blue Gibraltar transit c.d.s. (12.9) and, on reverse across join, red "singapore/p.o." c.d.s.; the entire a little soiled. A rare and attractive franking illustrating the 15a. rate. Photo Estimate S$ 2,500-3,000
