A Victorian Drum Major´s Sash of the Scots Guards A red leather belt, faced with blue cloth edged with a double row of 3/4in. gold "bias-and-stand" lace and scarlet cloth backing, mounted with a fine and massive embroidered device of QVC above the Sphinx with sprays of Thistle and Laurel bearing six blue velvet scrolls inscribed with battle-honours from DETTINGEN to WATERLOO, a Thistle Star superimposed on Crossed Colours above a Drum and Trumpets within another Thistle and Laurel spray bearing battle honours from ALMA to SUAKIN 1885, complete with miniature drum-sticks in turned ebony with ornate gilt mounts See illustration Estimate £ 180-240
