South Atlantic 1982, with silver rosette (L.S. (E.W.) M.J. Hancox, H.M.S. Antelope), extremely fine, in its card case of issue, with recipients original Medical Treatment Card, and The Falkland Islands Liberation Crown in presentation envelope and appreciation card Estimate £ 400-450 Leading Seaman Melvin John Hancox, born 1959, in Chatham, Kent; volunteered Junior Radio Operator 2nd Class, Royal Navy, 6.7.1976; Leading Seaman 27.11.1981; during the Falklands Conflict Hancox served on H.M.S. Antelope where he was subsequently wounded ´when a 1000 lb bomb exploded and he landed awkwardly on flightdeck´ 23.5.1982 [Medical Treatment Card refers]; 24.7.1984 enrolled Royal Fleet Reserve - awarded preserved pension.
