A General WW1 Service Dress Cap A rare and good example by W. CATER & Co, 56 PALL MALL, with khaki barathea top, scarlet band with blue piping above, bearing General´s embroidered badge, narrow chinstrap with General´s small mounted buttons, black leather peak with two rows of gold oakleaf embroidery, internal headband inscribed in ink G. Cuthbert, in its cylindrical tin with lid painted COL. G. J. CUTHBERT SCOTS GUARDS, and maker´s plaque, together with seven white cap-covers, a Staff officer´s embroidered Royal Crest cap-badge and some strips of red/white/blue dice ribbon, presumably from a Scots Guards forage cap band (lot) See illustration of cap Estimate £ 100-150 See footnote to lot 34.
