Four: Lieutenant Commander C.G. Carter, Royal Navy 1914-15 Star (Mid. C.G. Carter. R.N.R.); British War and Victory Medals (S. Lt. C.G. Carter. R.N.); Russia, Order of St. Anne, Third Class breast Badge, with swords, by Edouard, St. Petersburg, 40mm. x 36mm., gold and enamel, maker´s name and workmaster´s initials under enamel, severe red enamel damage to obverse lower and left arms, also to lower reverse arm, medals cleaned, otherwise good very fine, with contemporary Russian document (dated 11.4.1920) with translation on reverse, and permission to wear document from the Admiralty (4) Estimate £ 250-300 Lieutenant Commander Charles George Carter, entered Midshipman 24.7.1915, Royal Naval Reserve; Midshipman 14.2.1917, Royal Navy; Sub-Lieutenant 15.5.1918; appointed Sub-Lieutenant H.M.S. Seraph ( ´S´ class Destroyer), 17.2.1919, served in this ship in conjunction with Denikin´s Army in the Crimea, against the Bolshevists (Order of St. Anne, 3rd Class 11.4.1920); appointed Lieutenant H.M.S. Valiant (Battleship), 5.1.1922; advanced Lieutenant Commander 15.5.1928, retired in the same year.
