Crawford.), the Great War trio a later, although, probably original issue, good very fine or better (4) Estimate £ 240-280 Lieutenant Colonel John Cane Crawford (1868-1933), born in Bray, County Wicklow, Ireland; 2nd Lieutenant Manchester Regiment, 1888; advanced Captain 1897; Adjutant 5th Battalion Manchester Regiment, 1898-1903; served in South Africa 1901-02 (Mentioned in Lord Kitchener´s Despatches London Gazette 29.7.1902); Major 1903; re-engaged for the Great War and is shown as Lieutenant Colonel, in command, 92nd Battalion Training Reserve (January 1917 Army List refers).
