AUSTRALIA Postal Stationery 1901 mourning envelope (flap missing) from Melbourne to Devon, showing a good strike of the Governor frank stamp in blue cancelled with double-ring d.s. and showing superb oval-framed "victoria/Crownofficial paid" handstamp alongside, signed "Hopetoun" in lower left corner. Rare Estimate £ 75-85 Note: The signature is that of the Earl of Hopetoun, afterwards Lord Linlithgow, the first Governor-General of Australia from 1900-02
