GREAT BRITAIN Postal History 1896 (13 June) private postal stationery envelope with embossed 3d. and 1/- cancelled by Strand c.d.s., registered to The Hague and "Insured Twenty Pounds - £20" with "m.—no. 87." black on red Insured label; also 1900 (3 Dec.) envelope to Austria bearing 1881 1d. pair with Jubilee 1/2d., 21/2d. and 5d tied by Cardiff c.d.s., "Insured for Twenty pounds (£20)" with the black on red express label; both registration handstamp and insurance label crossed through with blue crayon as Austria prohibited coins or jewellery.
