Collections and Ranges 1940-45, a group of covers with 1940 window envelope from Switzerland, probably to England with a good strike of boxed "detained in france/during german/occupation"; 1941 undeliverable cover as recipient was a prisoner of war, ship sunk on return journey from Egypt with "salved from the sea" and other handstamps plus label; straight-line "damaged by enemy action" in violet (cover burnt at edges); 1945 OHMS envelope bearing "damaged by fire" with the ambulance envelope bearing Army Post office handstamp.
