British Aviation Memorabilia, A copy of The Aeroplane, Issue Nº 9, dated 26 February 1914, the front cover showing Herr Karl Ingold, holder of the World's Duration Record, in the cockpit of his Aviatik biplane, the 22-page issue containing lengthy articles on British and foreign military aviation, a discussion on the possibilities of transatlantic flight, an extremely technical commentary on Inherent Stability, advertisements etc; a flown postcard, bearing a 1/2d. stamp, in glazed frame; another stamped postcard, with a photograph of two unidentified aviators, and four unstamped cards, showing respectively the Blériot monoplane, The Howard-Wright Machine, a Wright biplane, and two pilots in the cockpit of Salmson biplane; a humourous picture postcard, stamped and dated (?)1911, depicting a householder peering from a skylight at a nocturnal aviator who has crash-landed on his roof; a complete set of fifty Wills's Cigarette Cards, illustrating balloons, dirigibles, aeroplanes, gliders and an early design for a helicopter, in a double-glazed frame enabling the reverse of the cards to be read, 111/2 in. x 321/2 in. overall; and an undated colour fold-out from the Boys' Own Paper, entitled AEROPLANES - AIRSHIPS, illustrating a Zeppelin and seven different types of early aeroplanes, in a glazed frame 121/2 in. x 241/2 in. overall (10) Estimate £ 150-200
