Goslar, imperial mint, Pretender, Hermann of Salm (1081-88), Denar, 0.99g., -----manis, facing bare headed bust, spear to left, rev. legend fragmentary, nimbate heads of SS Simon and Judas facing (Dannenberg 691, Kluge 191 var.; hoard report 538), dies very worn, fair to fine Estimate £ 80-120 Dannenberg places these two coins under Goslar but suggests that they may come from further east, copying the Goslar type. The cataloguer of our hoard simply attributes them to Goslar. Kluge attributes coins of the Goslar type which read Heriman, or similar, to Hermann of Salm
