Henry I, Penny, 1.26g., type XV, Exeter, uncertain moneyer, crowned bust facing three-quarters left, holding sceptre, henricvs:, rev. quadrilateral with lis at each angle over cross fleury, a[…]:on:exces: (BMC 219 (same obv. die); N.871; S.1276), slightly crimped at edge, otherwise an usually full round example of this issue, very fine, rare Estimate £ 300-400 Struck from the same obverse die as the last, the moneyer's name appears to begin with an A. No such moneyer is known in type XV, but both Ailric and Algar struck at Exeter in Stephen type I. The reverse die shows an unusual correction, E>X in EXCES
