Child's Bank, a drawn note (cheque) for £1000, 24 March 1730, to Thomas Steven, signed, drawn and sealed by Peregine Bertie (Great Chamberlain 1723 - 1742), together with a drawn note payable on sight for £34, signed and sealed by Peregrine Lindsey, son of the 1st Duke of Ancaster, both notes with damage to margins and usual 'spiked' hole at centre, very early and extremely rare, the £1000 an enormous sum for this time Estimate £ 200-250
