Imperial Bank of England, a group comprising £5 (14), Burslem, 1837-1839, black and white, St. George and the dragon top left, above are an eagle clutching fasces in its talons, manuscript serial numbers, date and signatures (Grant 5306), the notes are clipped and have multiple bankruptcy annotations, a most interesting group, rare and unusual. According to J. Callaway only four Burslem examples recorded. (14) Estimate £ 400-500
