CAPE OF GOOD HOPE 1863-64 De La Rue Issue Covers 1865 (11 Dec.) envelope from Cape Town "Per Royal Mail Steamer" to Glasgow, bearing 6d. bright mauve pair with large margins on three sides and neatly cancelled with a complete strike of the "1" obliterator, rated "6" in green ink (deleted) and showing Cape Town c.d.s. (tying the pair) and "paid/devonport/cape-packet" c.d.s. in red, arrival c.d.s. on reverse; the envelope a little soiled, otherwise fine and one of the very few covers recorded bearing De La Rue issue 6d. pairs.
