CAPE OF GOOD HOPE 1861 "Woodblock" Issue Due to the nature of the paper used for these issues many examples show irregularities, both in the form of surface pitting and in the form of pre-printing paper creases. Our descriptions usually exclude the above, any defects mentioned being those which occurred after the stamps were delivered Four Pence Pale Milky Blue Pair with one showing retouched corner, both Type IB, the retouched stamp with margins all round, the normal stamp cut-into on one side and showing portion of adjoining stamp at left, with small thin and small portion replaced at "st" of "postage".
