CAPE OF GOOD HOPE 1861 "Woodblock" Issue Due to the nature of the paper used for these issues many examples show irregularities, both in the form of surface pitting and in the form of pre-printing paper creases. Our descriptions usually exclude the above, any defects mentioned being those which occurred after the stamps were delivered One Penny Brick-Red Block of four with clear to enormous margins, each pair neatly cancelled; one stamp with natural paper wrinkle and one stamp with small thin. Out standing for such a multiple and by far the finest of the two brick-red blocks of four recorded.
