A Colour Sergeant's Uniform of the 21st Middlesex Rifle Volunteers A Victorian Full Dress black tunic, scarlet collar edged with black braid, black pointed cuffs and shoulder-straps, both edged with scarlet piping, the shoulder-straps inscribed 21Mx. in scarlet embroidery above R in silver, Colour Sergeant's badge of QVC, crossed swords and intertwined bugle-horns above a three-bar chevron, all in black braid and embroidery on scarlet backing, and bearing a Proficiency Badge, seven Efficiency Badges, in black embroidery on scarlet cloth, in two rows above top of right-hand cuff; together with a Rifleman's post-1901 grey Full Dress tunic of the Queen's Westminster Rifles, with scarlet collar and cuffs, the collar bearing badges of a crown and portcullis above a scroll inscribed SOUTH AFRICA 1900-02, the cuffs trimmed with drab cord, traced both sides with scarlet Russia braid, forming Austrian knots, plain grey shoulder-straps bearing metal titles inscribed T/16/COUNTY OF LONDON, relic label inside of SAMUEL BROS.
