A Colour Sergeant's Uniform of the Royal West Kent Regiment An unusual red serge frock of an auxiliary battalion circa 1908, with black cloth collar, cuffs and shoulder-straps, white cloth piping all round jacket, narrow white braid edging to collar-seam, shoulder-straps and pointed cuffs, six brass universal pattern buttons in front, brass Royal Crest collar-badges and three-bar lace chevron on right sleeve beneath KC and crossed flags, one Efficiency Badge in silver embroidery above right cuff, and two marksmanship badges, also in silver embroidery, above left cuff (coat relined, shoulder-titles removed) See illustration Estimate £ 70-100 A six-button frock is extremely rare, such garments almost invariably having either five or seven buttons in front.
