London Gazette 11.2.1941 902264 Sergeant Ronald John Healey, No. 75 (New Zealand) Squadron. The Recommendation states 'This airman has completed 33 operational flights involving 104 hours flying by day and night. On 9th December, 1940, his ability as Navigator/Bomb Aimer contributed largely to the success of an attack on Bremen in very adverse weather. He has proved himself to be a most courageous Observer and is strongly recommended for the award of the Distinguished Flying Medal.'
