Four Military Swords An unusual Royal Artillery Officer's sword with regulation three-bar plated guard, the blade straight, of 1892 Infantry style, bearing etched foliate decoration, GvR cypher, Royal Arms, Thunderbolt, Gun, UBIQUE and ROYAL ARTILLERY, in a black leather scabbard with plated locket and chape; another RA officer's sword, with regulation hilt and slightly-curved fullered blade bearing traces of etched decoration, now in a steel scabbard of 1796 Heavy Cavalry Trooper's pattern; a sword with guard of RA officer's style and plain blade, in a steel scabbard (the latter shortened by removal of mouthpiece); and another sword, with pipe-back blade by Prosser, 9 Charing Cross, London, fishskin grip and four-bar guard of Continental appearance, in a defective steel scabbard (4) See illustration of first two items Estimate £ 150-200
