Naval General Service 1793-1840, two clasps, Boat Service 16 July 1806, Boat Service 1 November 1809 (James Turton), good very fine, a scarce clasp combination Estimate £ 3,500-4,000 James Turton, served as an Ordinary Seaman in H.M.S. Prince of Wales for the 16th July 1806 clasp, when the British cut out the French Corvette Caesar in the Verdun Roads off River Gironde; served in H.M.S. Cumberland for the 1st November 1809 clasp when the British captured and destroyed four armed vessels and seven others from a convoy at Rosas, off the North East coast of Spain.
