†William and Mary, Halfcrown, 1690, first conjoined busts right, rev. second crowned shield of arms, crown with no frosting, no pearls edge, inscribed tertio (ESC 515 R2; S.3435) very light adjustment marks on Irish quarter of shield and on King´s hair, tiny scratch on King´s cheek, hint of cabinet friction to reverse, with a little light flecking and considerable mint brilliance, good extremely fine, a superb specimen and one of the finest extant of this rare date, extremely rare Estimate £ 2,000-2,500 See illustration on back cover
