†James I, third coinage, Crown, 29.84g., m.m. trefoil (over lis), king crowned and in armour on horseback right, crowned rose on housing, groundline with grass below, rev. square garnished shield with large Welsh plume above, quae devs conivnxit nemo separet (FRC X*/XIX*; N.2121; S.2665), very feint scratches in reverse field, toned, with some underlying gold lustre, almost extremely fine, rare thus Estimate £ 2,500-3,000 provenance:
