Thracian / Scythian Dynasts, Koson (mid 1st century B.C.), AV Stater, 8.69g., Olbia, togate Roman consul walking left, preceded and followed by two togate lictors, each carrying fasces over left shoulder, monogram of OËB before, KOØÙN in exergue, rev. eagle standing left on sceptre, holding wreath in one talon (RPC 1701; BMC, Roman Republic, II, p. 474, 48), a little softly struck on obverse, extremely fine Estimate £ 350-400 The obverse type is copied from M.
