Wreck Covers 1914 S.S. 'Empress of Ireland' (Canadian Pacific Railway): 1914 (25 May) envelope addressed to Birmingham from Dartmouth (adhesive washed off) showing part of the despatch duplex, a good strike of straight-line "Recovered by divers from wreck of S.S. Empress of Ireland." in turquoise, partly overstruck by "dead letter office/ottawa, ont." dated oval; also an ambulance envelope from the Dead Letter Office, addressed to Worthing and redirected, bearing Canada K.G.V 2c. tied by machine cancellation and Worthing c.d.s. and also shows a faint strike of the wreck cachet.
