STRAITS SETTLEMENTS Military Mail First World War 1915 picture postcard from Trieste, Austria addressed, via London, to a P.O.W. at St. John's Singapore and redirected to Tanglin, showing Austro-Hungarian Red Cross cachet in red, "free/p.c./prisoners of war" circular cachet in red, "penang to singapore" double-ring d.s., Singapore arrival d.s. (27.2) and straight-line "passed by censor" h.s. in violet; the stamp has been removed by the Censor by means of gouging, possibly to see if there was a secret message hidden underneath.
