SUDAN Egyptian Adhesives used in the Sudan Dongola 1885 (22 Apr.) "On Her Majesty's Service" envelope (with contents) addressed to Captain Wilson then re-addressed to London and redirected locally, bearing 1884 20pa. rose-carmine (2) tied by light bi-lingual c.d.s. (Stagg Type 13) and showing another strike alongside. The letter gives details of troops summer quarters and the hope that Captain Wilson will soon recover and be fit to resume command.
