India General Service 1854-95, one clasp, Hazara 1888 (Major F.H. Thorndike 2nd Bn R. Suss. R.), extremely fine Estimate £ 300-350 Major Francis Henry Thorndike, born 27.11.1852, appointed Ensign 107th Foot, from 2nd Somerset Militia, 1874 and was Lieutenant, Instructor of Musketry with the same Regiment from February to July 1880; Captain Royal Sussex Regiment the same year and was advanced to Major 1884. Died 1888.
