Great Britain 1689 (21 Jan.) entire letter from London to the Customs House at Exeter, the address panel with ink manuscript rate "3", the reverse with superb strikes of the "gc" in diamond Receiver's handstamp (pertaining to Gabriel Collins at Temple) and "ia/21" Bishop Mark alongside; some light creasing and a couple of strengthened faults though well clear of the markings. Fine and very rare, this marking only recorded in 1690. Photo Estimate £ 400-500
