Great Britain 1649-1660 (c.), a single sheet detailing the expenses incurred by one of the messengers employed by the Court of Exchequer for "his travill and charges riding in hast to carry generall writtes of resummons to the severall sheriffes hereafter named" (being those of Kent, Essex, Norfolk, Suffolk, Norwich, Canterbury and Dover Castle), a note at the foot, signed by John Dodington, authorises payment; a few minor stain spots and small missing portion at top though in no way detracting from this otherwise fine and rare postal history document.
