Western Australia 1907 (12 Feb.) Mother of Pearl sea shell sent in the form of a postcard registered from Perth to England (Ripon, Yorks.), 41/2" square and only 1/4" thick, the inside of the shell engraved with title "post card", address, a delightful swan and "new year 1907", the outer side with paper overlay bearing 3d. pair with c.d.s. and showing despatch and arrival registered d.s./h.s.; in superb condition in view of the fact that it has actually travelled through the post and survived for almost 100 years.
