Sardinia 1819-63, a comprehensive and very valuable used collection neatly housed in an album comprising Cavallini, Provisional Government, 1819 (1 Jan) 15c. used on 1819 (24 July) entire to Romagnano (signed Bolaffi), 25c. unused and 50c. used on 1821 (30 Mar.) entire to Torino and 1820 (1 Jan.) 15c. on 1820 (17 May) entire to Savona, 25c. and 50c. unused (signed A.D. and Churavello respectively) plus Postal Notices for 7 Nov. 1818, 13 Nov. 1819 and 3 Dec. 1819; "periodici franchi" two covers, one journal (complete) with three further journal pieces; 1851 (1 Jan) 5c. (Diena Cert. 1971), 20c. (2, one on large piece) and 40c.; 1853 (1 Oct.) 5c., 20c. (2, one on 1853 (15 Dec.) cover to Casale, attractive and 40c. on large piece (Diena Cert. 1968); 1854 (18 Apr.) 5c. verde giallo (R.P.S. Cert. 1955), 20c. (5) one on 1854 (23 Dec.) cover to Torino, attractive and 40c. (2, one with Raybaudi Cert. 1990); 1855-63 issue with a range of shades, some better, comprising 5c. (20) three on piece and a cover in combination with 80c., three pairs two on piece and three strips of three with two on cover; 10c. (46) five on piece and two on cover, three pairs, one on 1863 (3 Oct.) cover to Rome, very attractive, and a strip of three, 20c. (51) eight on piece, sixteen on cover , one bearing cobalto verdastro shade on 1856 (24 Oct.) to Torino (Caffaz Cert. 1999) and four pairs, three on piece, 40c. (19) three on piece and three on cover, 80c. (9) a pair and two singles together with a 20c. on 1861 (19 Oct.) cover from Torino to Bruxelles (Caffaz Cert. 1999), and 3 lire (three large margins but cut into at top, PESA Cert. 1985); 1851 (1 Jan.) Newspaper stamps with 1c. pair on 1863 cover from Napoli to Milano and 2c. (3 and a strip of three on piece); also three Italy/Sardinia combinations with Sardinia 10c. and 20c. and Italy 40c. on 1863 (27 Jan.) cover from Siena to Firenze; generally most stamps are four margined examples with neat cancellations.
