Charles I, Chester mint, Halfcrown, 14.52g., m.m. sword erect between three gerbs, king on horseback left, plume behind, chst below, rev., oval garnished shield, christo avspice regno (Lyall B/2; JGB 1111 (same dies); N.2627; S.3130), struck on a handsome large oval flan, small scratch in obverse field and lightly bowed, otherwise good very fine, very rare thus Estimate £ 2,500-3,000 provenance:
