Somaliland 1903 Issue overprinted at top of stamp 2a. marginal block of thirty (6x5) from the upper left corner of the sheet, [1-2] showing variety overprint double, and [12] showing variety "brit sh", three stamps in the lower row lightly mounted and some hinge remnants in margins, the remaining stamps including the varieties unmounted, fine and rare. Sc. 3a; S.G. 3a,c, £1600++ (WF). Photo Estimate £ 750-850 Note: The complete sheet of 240 stamps (two vertical panes of 120 12x10) was overprinted in one operation and on a few sheets the overprint on stamps 1& 2 failed to print properly. When this was noticed the printers endeavoured to erase the faulty overprint from these two stamps and then put the sheet through the press a second time with the overprint for these two stamps inked only.
