†Uganda 1904 (Jan.) envelope, complete with letter on Grand Hotel Khartoum headed paper, mailed from a passenger on the steamer "Abbas Pascha" to Scotland, bearing 1898-1902 1a. carmine-rose, 2a. red-brown and 3a. bluish grey in combination with B.E.A. 1896 1/2a. yellow-green all cancelled with "gondokoro/u.p." single-ring d.s., Khartoum and Helensburgh c.d.s. on reverse; some faults at edges though a rare and colourful combination franking.
